PLEASE READ THE WHOLE DESCRIPTION BEFORE SUBMITTING ANY DESIGNS.

Background: I am designing a children's card/board game and I am in need of artwork for it. Since this is a children's game I am looking for pieces that would appeal to children in the 3-10 year old age range.

Project specification: This is a multi-piece submission contest. A successful submission will incorporate all the specifications.
--> an assortment of 5-8 cute monsters, ideally holding socks
-->various socks, the colors and style of sock should vary
-->monsters should appeal to children
-->colors should be bright and varied

Rules: All submissions must be the work of the submitting artist. All work must be original, created specifically for this contest, and match the design specifications. ANY SUBMISSION THAT DOES NOT MEET THE GUIDELINES WILL BE REJECTED. Artists may choose to submit more than one design as long as it fits the project specifications.

Feel free to ask for further details to help in the design process. I will make comments on each piece to let the artist know which part(s) of the design match my ideal.

The contest is GUARANTEED, it will not be SEALED
Payment: $100 for the winner, runner up submissions will be awarded on a case by case basis

Terms of Use:
The illustrations would be used, in whole or in part, for art in the game and in-game files, on the box, on the website/social media, and in advertising for the games, etc. The chosen artist will be credited as the artist in the game material and on the website. No further payment will be due or expected on the artwork.

Future Plans:
I am planning on several more games in the near future and I would like to establish a good working relationship with an artist who can work on them. This contest will allow me to see what is on offer and see which style(s) best suits my needs. Designs are needed for all listed components above.

I will awarding the winner tomorrow after I have done an authentication check. I will be checking to make sure that the submitted pieces have not been used in any other competition or project and are the original work of the submitting artist.
If you have not already placed a buy price in your work please do so. I have had a really hard time choosing out of all the great work. Depending on circumstances I may be buying some of the other pieces, also.

I wanted to give you all a little background information on the game and see if that helps in the design process. Have you ever noticed that when you take out a load of laundry from the dryer more often than not you are missing one of your socks? Years ago I came up with a story about why that happens...and it involved a sock monster. Now I am developing the story into a game. That is why the request is for both monsters (possibly holding socks) and socks. The game can be played by any age, but my primary audience is younger children. That is why I asked for bright colors and cute monsters, rather than dark and scary monsters. As always feel free to ask for any clarifications here or in a message. I am happy to answer. I am seeing a lot of great entries and I am excited to see what else will be submitted before the deadline. There are so many adorable monsters it is going to be hard to choose a winner!
