I am a self-published Australian author of adult speculative fiction (urban fantasy thrillers, "urban" sci-fi thrillers, gaslamp fantasy and high fantasy).
My author name is D.P. Vaughan.
I would like the logo to consist of my name and incorporate a European fallow deer fawn as a kind of heraldric symbol.
I like the font Palatino (so either that or something similar).
Would like blue as a major colour. Also don't mind purple, teal or fawn colours but the blue should be dominant (if not the only one other than black, I suppose).

Extra details:

Below are reference pictures of European fallow deer fawns (baby deer). It doesn't have to be colour or very detailed (e.g. it can be cartoonish or stylised), but you should be able to see the spots on its back.
So far my favourite designs involve the name D.P. VAUGHAN in allcaps and all in one line like it is here with the deer above it. I like the deer above it to be sideways, so the start of the name has its head and the end of the name has its tail; or the other way around.

    I've extended the contest because while I like many of the designs, there weren't any that were exactly what I'm looking for. The contest is extended for three more days, but if I find a design I like the most before the three days I'll close the contest early. To clarify: the deer I want is a European fallow deer, but I don't want an adult one (with the antlers), I want a fawn which is a baby deer. The prize has been increased slightly.
