Hi, creative designers!
For “bryciola”, a new italian food webshop, we need an original logo and 4 coordinate thematic icons (please, no clip art or similar!).
Our startup intend to propose, to private customers from all countries, high quality products from little italian food producers. The MAIN VALUES we want to get across to customers, with our brand identity, are: LOVE OF NATURE, ITALIAN IDENTITY, NEWNESS AND MODERNITY but also RESPECT OF TRADITIONS.
Requirements and suggestions for the LOGO:
- it must contain the brand name (“bryciola”) and the brand motto (“storie di natura in tavola”, that we’ll can translate in other languages);
- FRIENDLY, ELEGANT and MODERN LOOK;
- easy printable (we appreciate transparent background), also over different background materials;
- color shades are accepted and appreciated; don’t use textures hatch or other “heavy” effects (more with less!);
- we prefer logos with original “hand made” characters (lowercase is better, with simple design), maybe with one or more letter with graphic variation included... than logos with standard font and one graphic symbol; however, feel free to create everything;
- italian identity: we appreciate to include italian flag color (in an original and elegant way: not italian flag!); however don’t use italian flag color as main color but maybe only for a “graphic episode” (i.e. as three color fork, strips or whatever you’ll create);
- main colors: we like green and yellow/orange, but you can suggest others;
- optional indication: “briciola” translation from italian is crumb, or breadcrumb. You could use this as possible way to begin;
Requirements and suggestions for the 4 coordinate thematic ICONS:
- “green” icon – symbol: leaf;
- “blue” icon – symbol: one between hummingbird, shell or rhino profile;
- “orange” icon – symbol: open book;
- “red” icon – symbol: hourglass;
- round shapes;
- stylised, clear and simple look;
- IMPORTANT: we need to graphically coordinate these icons with the logo; maybe a possibility is to reference the graphical aspect proposed for the “round shaped” letters of bryciola (mainly the “o”) with the graphical aspect of the icons; however you can suggest different solutions.

Read carefully our suggestion, but GIVE YOUR CREATIVE INTERPRETATION to the project. We’re looking for the brilliant amazing idea!
You must include in your first proposal both the LOGO and the FIRST ICON: the others three icons will be requested (included in the contest price) during the contest only for our favourite proposals.

The winner freelance will be INVITED and keep in high regard FOR FUTURE WORKS posted on freelancer.com, (graphic customisation of our webshop, from a given template and layout mockups, and graphic template for flyers and commercial brochure).
The winner will have to submit ALL THE GRAPHIC FINAL SUORCE FILES (one for each item) in .psd, .png, .jpeg and vectorial format such as .ai or .svg. We also need full credits and copyrights for the project.

Thank you again for your invitation and the opportunity.
I might not agree with the design choices, but I'm a big fan of good italian food and I'm looking forward to ordering some delicious products from Bryciola. Will you have salami Felino and authentic prosciutto from the Parma region? I was in Regio Emilia last year and the salami and prosciutto there are exquisite! I have not been able to find anything of that quality here in the USA.

  It is my understanding that "FRIENDLY, ELEGANT and MODERN LOOK" has been presented here by several users, however rated very low.
  I will not comment on the higher rated entries out of respect for the authors, but clearly this is just another case where the same words mean different things to different people.

  for #46 use the same essential and elegant style that you propose for the logo. Remember, more with less! Maybe also the two circles with different center (used both for the "o" and for icons) needs a point of originality: in the top side it can be a graphical interruption, to simulate plant that growing form the ground (without plant, maybe the three leaves in #39 are ok); we hope you well interpret.
  For next proposal, try to eliminate the dot on the top of the "i". An interesting interpretation could be to copy the asymmetry used for "o" in other round shaped letters.
  Start from #39 , until now is your best version.

Suggestion for all designers: don't use chef hat, it's not a restaurant.
Maybe an interesting way is think to a "seed" as visual symbol, that has high symbolic value representing nature, life, food...
Use color shade (i.e. #27), we appreciate.

Thank you for your proposals.
Unfortunately we don't trade pizza. Interpret the contest in an original and MODERN way (like it was almost a Service Company). Give importance first to "green" and nature themes, with italian identity not so evident.
