Hello All,
We are building an online shopping site for Chinese artworks, especially Chinese painting and writing artworks at https://tao.ooo

Here are some pieces of information for your reference:

1.# This site is especially for global customers, but NOT for China's domestic market.

2# Slogan: Taoism Harmony
It would be great if we can have your suggestions for the optimization of the terms of the Slogan.

3# MUST Read before Design:
So, here is some background on Chinese Culture, and characteristics of Chinese arts, which might much helpful to your design:

3.1. The difference between Chinese culture( arts) and western?

The simple answer is that Chinese arts generally reflect the traditional Chinese culture, and that is Taoism and Zen. Do you know that Steve Jobs like Zen? please check the picture at https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-2bcf4825730b8fbe20a6a3d59f721c1d

3.2 Zen is actually originated from Taoism:

In Chinese, Taoism or Tao is actually pronounced as Dao in the Chinese spoken language, but, it is pronounced and read as Tao in English, and it is the same as our brand name of Tao.

4# Where to start ?
The following elements or materials are just for your reference and might be approaches or inspire you when you think of logo design. But, please freely think or use any materials to design in your way, because we understand the designer's perspective.

4.1 The most difference between West and East painting artwork, is that we always use Mao Bi, and please search the image by the keywords of "Chinese calligraphy" at https://www.google.com/imghp?hl=en&ogbl
Or, please search on Google by the keyword of "maobi". It is similar to the brush for West oil painting, but they are quite different.
Actually, we use "maobi" to write Chinese characters at school, we have only used pen and pencil since 19 century in modern education.
A artists who is good at Chinese calligraphy, is mostly good at painting too, actually they take calligraphy and painting as the same thing. Does it inspire you?

4.2 From the view of our domain of tao.ooo

"Tao" is actually Pinyin, the same as the phonetic symbol used for pronunciation in Chinese, but it is written as 桃 or 淘 in Chinese. So, Tao (桃) actually is the fruit of peach( To avoid misunderstandings, please refer to the page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peach). In Chinese, it means a very positive prospect and wishing someone good luck. So, the character of 桃 is frequently shown up in Chinese poets and painting artworks. does it inspire you?

4.3 tao.ooo, is a quite special domain so that it is so easy to remember since there are four same letters of "O".
Is there any possibility of a special logo design? we are expecting in design to show what you think.

5. # What we expect:
5.1# We do not limit Icon OR text, or both Icon AND Text, just freely show what you think in mind, remember that the site and logo is designed for the western market, and we expect concept and ideas that some Chinese style in mind of West people, and this is also the reason why we do not find a designer in China but on Freelancer.com.
5.2 All of the standard Logo designs for handover, like colors, typeface, line, shape, negative space, etc, and some details as following:

(1) illustrator handover file
(2) A font matched with Logo design from Google font at https://fonts.google.com, or some others.
(3) A Color combination to match the logo design at https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel

    To avoid making you confused, all of elements that I wrote in description are just for your reference, but not ask you use them all into one logo design, and I just suppose that would be much difficult and complicated if you do it in that way.
