Rent One is seeking an experienced retail branding, environmental graphic design, and store-planning professional to develop an updated set of interior and exterior brand standards for our retail locations. We operate furniture, appliance, electronics, and mattress stores across multiple markets. Our current store design includes gray and green paint schemes, dimensional wall messaging, decorative murals, specialty TV display walls, customer-service counters, and category-based signage. We will provide existing store photographs, prior design drawings, fixture concepts, floor plans, paint plans, signage details, and our newly developed 2026 Go-to-Market strategy as reference materials. This is not simply a logo-placement or paint-selection project. We are looking for a cohesive physical retail environment that translates our new brand strategy into a consistent, scalable, and emotionally engaging customer experience. Our new GTM strategy emphasizes that the brand must operate as a connected system rather than a collection of isolated campaigns or design elements. The physical store should align the audience, message, environment, and customer journey into one recognizable Rent One experience. Key areas: Bedding (passport sleep), gaming/computer, TV display/wall, appliances, furniture Signage: We're not looking to change existing logo or colors of logos/signage Looking for: Input on colors for interior and exterior elements that fit the GTM strategy, input on interior wall art or verbiage that fit's with GTM strategy, flooring finishes and choices that align with strategy. Not looking for: AI generated outputs incorporating all pictures and plans and this description with wildly designed showrooms in massive big box chain formats that aren't economically feasible. We anticipate running a separate follow-up campaign to expand the approved standards across multiple floor plans and locations. That phase would include creating proposed layouts for future stores, developing storefront color and signage schematics, adapting the standards to unique building conditions, and updating plans as new product offerings such as gaming, bedding, or other lucritive product categories need emphasized or upsold.

Before preparing my contest entry, I have one question: will the winner be expected to develop the branding standards using a single representative store prototype, or should the submission also demonstrate how the concept adapts across your different retail categories (furniture, appliances, electronics, and mattresses)?
