The goal is to scrape images and detailed product data from two e-commerce sites and enter the data into a spreadsheet format. See INSTRUCTIONS.txt for details.

Submissions will be compared to website data. The first entry that successfully captures all product data (error-free) from both websites will be awarded the winner.

Submissions should be a .zip file containing all product images and one or more spreadsheets with the data.

We wish you all the best of luck. There will be additional work for the winner!

UPDATE 1 - We have added an additional 'clarification' package that should better explain the type of data we are trying to capture.

Actually these kind of tasks works with projects, not contests.. Because i need to create script to extract data.. If another person also do the same and if you award contest to another person then i will loss all my spent time.. This is why project is better instead of contest... Thx

  Hi Ravi, it's a glitch with Freelancer, we were just sending a PM. This particular task is a contest, not a project, so it doesn't involve hiring a specific person, but instead, award to the winner after completion. Hope that helps.

Well since it's a contest instead of a regular project it has to be guaranteed. #guaranteed Otherwise people hand over data and you don't even have to choose a winner at the end which sounds sketchy to me. Also since contest entry will contain links to data it is logical be sealed #sealed

  The contest is not guaranteed because we do not know enough about web scraping to know if this is even possible. If trust is an issue, consider submitting a partial entry. Data can be sealed with a locked zip/rar archive. Hope that helps!
