I am using FORTRAN because we have access to a compiler and we may need to modify it later for other uses. For someone who knows what they are doing, I don't think this will take very long. I have a table of values for a UAV moving away from a base station. My first column is the time (t) of 0 to 60 with time steps of 4. There are series of libraries written in fortran (version 2003). I need a make file for this fortran code. The make file shall to be created using f2py, so that the compiled library can be invoked from python. The fortran code is currently hosted here: ~vgriffit/5th_ed/Software/ The linked file is a zipped file with a series of folders. The libraries that I need to invoke from python is located in /source/library. I will need the source code of the new make file and I will need the make file to be created to work in linux. There is also a build file under /source/build that show how the fortran files under /library are linked during compilation that can be used for reference.

I have a MATLAB code that I personally wrote and 100% confident in. I am trying now to regress parameters using a simple fitting code that I wrote based on lsqnonlin function. However, the optimization process is very slow and usually after hours matlab stops running as the limit of maximum iterations is exceeded. The same fitting procedure takes about 20 min in Fortran. I have a class project of fortran programming. it is similar to nokia's classic snake game but the project only requires three snakes roaming in a 20x40 matrix without bumping(crashing) each other or the walls. there is no food for snake to eat. just three snakes moving. snakes will be 3 character long. we dont need to control where the sneak is going, they can be controlled by the computer randomly. the 3 marks at the attachment are the snakes.
