Top notch art director and proven magazine designer needed to design a new digital magazine. This is a chance implement a vision from the ground up. Our magazine will be a monthly statewide magazine with the highest quality writing and photography. We want someone who can design a unique and beautiful magazine in a traditional style. We are looking for a clean and interesting style that can be implemented through the magazine app and website. We don't want anything too funky or cutting edge. Our readers will be adult professionals and our emphasis will be longform journalism. The founders and editor of this magazine are entrepreneurs and award-winning journalists with the experience and backing to create a world class digital publication. We will also post stories etc. to our website. We are interested in a long term relationship with an art director/designer that gets our vision and wants the freedom to produce a digital publication of the highest quality. We want someone to collaborate with on a monthly basis. If you are looking for a quick job and a quick buck this is not the right position. We plan on keeping the person (or team) we choose very busy, perhaps even full time if the fit is right. Right now we are looking to hire someone to do a complete design from the ground up and create a style sheet, from font selection to colors etc. This person should be a native English speaker or have an excellent command of the English language. If you are interested, have the experience necessary and are interested in a long term position, please send examples of your best magazine design work, web design work, rate of pay and hours available to work per week/month.
