MSc thesis is a final thesis that students write to complete their master degree program. It is

compatible with the description of a graduate profile included in the standards of teaching for

the following fields of study: International Trade Relations and Tourism.

I. Content-related requirements

1. The topic and the content of the MSc thesis should be compatible with the field of study.

2. MSc thesis can take the forms of:

 systemic analysis – a description of economic theory or of a fragment of economic

practice,

 project – a proposal for new developments or improvements,

 research – the analysis of the results of empirical study and their exhaustive

interpretation, the discovery of new interrelations or new aspects of economic

processes

3. MSc thesis should include:

 the statement of the problem,

 motivation for undertaking research,

 the place of the problem in existing literature,

 the use of research methods and tools for analysis,

 description of results of the research,

 summary of results and the formulation of conclusions.

4. Writing a MSc thesis should equip a student with the following:

 the ability to evaluate and to use the existing theories and research in the field,

 the ability to expand the student’s knowledge by conducting research and gathering

appropriate bibliography from all available Polish and foreign sources,

 the ability to diagnose, formulate and evaluate the problem,

 the ability to invent and plan new solutions or to modify the existing ones,
