Here’s my problem. I need an easy way to jump among various mapped network drives.
I’ve tried finding a good multipane substitute for windows explorer, but they all crash on me too often.
On my win7 computer, I have commands like
#z::winActivate Z:
where Z is a mapped network drive.
That way, I can have separate file explorer windows open for each mapped network drive and I can jump quickly back and forth between different drives. This works regardless of whether I am at the top of the drive or in any folder or subfolder.
In win10, this works only if I am at the top of the drive. If I go into a folder or subfolder, the folder name shows at the top of the window, not the drive, which I assume is the problem (although the file explorer window in Win7 doesn't show the Z at any time).
I’m not limited to an Autohotkey solution, I just want some simple way to jump among mapped network drives. I keep too many windows open to alt tab among them, and since I have the same folder names on various drives, I’d have to be careful looking at the path to be sure I was looking at the right one.
