We are "London Youth Athletic Club" based in UK. We do have sessions for delivering several local communities and youth empowerment projects here in UK, but also have several mini project in Africa. Thus this project is for establishment of 6 line Athletic track in Mogadishu which is our next project for this year, to facilitate and help people in Somalia specially to produce a talented youth in this sector by providing this facility to enable them to practice and hold tournaments.
Background:
The history of this facility is back on Since 1991 due to the civil war the Mogadishu stadium, which had 6 tracks with football pitch was destroyed and recently the football pitch is been refurbished, but the athletic tracks are still not been done, in which we want do through this project , by designing and laying out both selection of appropriate material and implementation with design of an effective installations.
The Current status of stadium is from 2012 it has been rebuilt and used the Football pitch as well as athletics without track has been using with at least 10 athletes club using pr rota every months.
Facility development and increasing efficiency:
We therefore believe that with refurbishment and developing the facility in world-class athletes track by fitting with installation of new 6 runner tracks that can increase the beneficiaries by an increment of 80% up to 20 athletes club and more clubs as there are over 3 million populations in the capital of Somalia of Mogadishu. This includes with social gain which gives equal beneficiaries by engaging children and youth both “boys and girls”. This will boost their morale, confidence and self esteem.
Our expectation from this platform & the Outcome of this request from Freelances are:
1- Architectural , Design And the layout out of the 6 line athletes track
2- Detail Specification of material selected and their cost related by considering hot and rainy season tropical area.
3- Implementations and installations with proper illustrations
