I have setup up a webcamera to USB port on windows(98/NT/2000/2003) machine with web server running on (personal web server and IIS) I would like a programmer to be able to pullup the images
from the webcam and display it in the browser using Java, It would also have some control settings, like zoom, brightness, contrast, rotation etc.
Which I do http/[login to view URL] it should pull up the webcam page with all the controls. If that windows machine would be connected to the internet with IP address then http://ip address/ should be able to pull up the same page that display the image from the camera using the java stuff(other options open to suggestions) I would like the ability to add at least 4 more cameras to the same machine and view them the same way may be suing virtual IP I am not sure >. If you have used Zilog chip to do this it would be a big plus.

hello. I can propose to make the simple service (or just server - to will be able run it with Win9x) which will get still images from webcam using directshow and return it by request. And make the sample java applet to get this image and transform it. Instead java applet it can be used ActiveX. As far as I understand you want to get the stil images. If I wrong and you would like to get the vide stream it need to discus the detail how it can be implemented. I can make the test solution for you in next 2-3 days. regards Ivan.
