Render specially formatted text to HTML

Hi! I have a simple task for the beginning. If this task will be completed as expected, then we will continue with developing this library even more. So, a TASK: There is a raw text with \n delimiters for the line breaks: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ # Step one # Step two some other lines here and they do not interrupt numbering if they go one by one # Step three # Step one again... # Step two again, but it has more, than one space between hash char and first letter # Step three and # this 'inline' hash is not a number # This is not a step because started not from the beginning of a line #This is not a step because no at least one space delimeter between hash char and first letter ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This text must be rendered with JS or jQuery into HTML to look like: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1.
