Project Description: We are seeking an agile, highly disciplined DevOps engineer to execute a clean, streamlined mail infrastructure deployment on a freshly provisioned bare-metal Linux environment. This is a highly focused task requiring technical precision under a lean, execution-focused framework. Technical Scope of Work: • OS & Kernel Optimization: Perform initial hardening on a clean Ubuntu 22.04 LTS minimal net-install. Activate kernel BBR congestion control and optimize system file descriptors (nofile limits up to 65535) to handle concurrent high-volume outbound threads. • Network & Subnet Mapping: Configure a routed, contiguous /28 IPv4 network block via Netplan. Statically alias the usable IP footprint sequentially to align with our predefined enterprise reverse DNS (rDNS/PTR) naming architecture (ranging from s1 through s14). • MTA & Open-Source Application Stack: Deploy a highly optimized, headless outbound mail transport agent (Postfix) utilizing sender-dependent default transport maps. Bind this transport layer to a standard, open-source open-source marketing automation application base layer running over a hardened LEMP stack. • Telemetry & Logging: Ensure local log-shipping utility configurations are prepared to parse mail transport logs in real time and stream performance metrics to a centralized external JSON webhook payload endpoint. Project Governance & Terms: • 2-Milestone Delivery Framework: To maintain absolute operational efficiency and prevent escrow fragmentation, this project operates strictly under a consolidated 2-stage milestone matrix (Milestone 1: Core Base Environment Layer; Milestone 2: Subnet Transport Routing, Telemetry, & Handoff). • Strict Timeline: This sprint is bound to a strict 7-day active development cycle followed by a 2-day monitored window for global DNS propagation and final verification (Passing a perfect 10/10 score on external validation tools). • Compliance & Mutual NDA: The selected contractor will be required to provide their full legal name and execute a standard Mutual Non-Disclosure & IP Assignment Agreement within the workspace chat before server root credentials or backend API schemas are released.

With a /28, Postfix's smtp_bind_address needs to match your PTR-registered IP explicitly. Leave it to OS defaults and outbound mail routes out on the wrong source address, breaking PTR validation at the remote MX even when SPF is set correctly. I'd deliver this as version-controlled config files (Netplan YAML + Postfix [login to view URL]) that are idempotent: apply them again and nothing breaks. Verification is built in: connectivity tests across the block, SPF/DKIM/PTR alignment checks via dig, and a test message through swaks before handover. M1: Netplan /28 routing + Postfix install, connectivity verified, $105, 1.5d M2: SPF/DKIM/PTR verification, hardened config (relay restrictions, queue limits), handover doc, $105, 1.5d One thing to confirm before I start: are you routing through a single sending domain or multiple, and do you have PTR records already set for the IPs in the block?

Binding Postfix to a /28 block with sender-dependent transport maps across 14 IPs is exactly what I built for an Australian software company last year — full VPS setup with KeyHelp, mail routing, and SSL on Ubuntu. I'd handle the Netplan static aliasing first to match your PTR records, then configure Postfix transport maps to rotate outbound connections across s1-s14. BBR and nofile limits are standard kernel tweaks I do on every bare-metal deploy. I'd also set up your log-shipping to pipe Postfix logs to your JSON webhook endpoint in real time. Need SSH access to the server to confirm the current network config and get started. Available now, more at ffulb.com.

Hello, I have configured a complete mail server and provide configuration services such as Postfix + Dovecot. I run my own domain email service using similar configurations, and I've made mine more complex, including sender mapping and relay senders. This is to address the strong two-factor authentication (OAuth) issue with Microsoft Mail. I believe I can help you troubleshoot Linux issues and optimize configurations, including your email system. I'm also a Linux from Scratch user, meaning I've compiled the kernel multiple times. If you have any specific needs, I can offer reliable solutions. Thank you!

Hi, I have 15+ years of experience with Linux, Postfix, email infrastructure, networking, automation, and high-volume server deployments. I can build the environment from a clean Ubuntu 22.04 installation, including: • Ubuntu hardening and kernel tuning (BBR, file descriptor optimization) • Netplan configuration for routed /28 subnet allocation and IP mapping • Postfix deployment with sender-dependent transport configuration • LEMP stack installation and optimization • DNS, rDNS/PTR validation, and mail infrastructure setup • Log collection, telemetry, and webhook integration • Documentation, testing, and handoff I work with milestone-based delivery, strict timelines, and NDA requirements. Before proceeding, please confirm: • Who manages DNS and rDNS records? • Which marketing automation platform will be deployed? • Is the /28 subnet already routed and available on the server? • What webhook format and monitoring requirements are expected? Estimated Timeline: 3–5 days for implementation, plus validation and monitoring. Available to start immediately. Rahul

Hi! The detail about mapping your /28 subnet via Netplan and binding each IP for outbound mail (with strict reverse DNS) is the tricky part—this often fails on initial PTR sync or Postfix sender-dependent routing. I’ve set up similar mail infrastructure on optimized Ubuntu—Postfix on LEMP, sender-dependent transports, BBR kernel tuning, and log streaming via webhook for live monitoring. The risk is losing a clean 10/10 deliverability score if rDNS, SPF, or DKIM isn’t perfectly aligned with each IP; this needs careful sequencing. Quick check: are the enterprise rDNS entries already live, or will I provision and verify them as part of the setup? That shapes the DNS handoff timing. Happy to share a short design outline (free) of the base stack, including log telemetry setup. For more on my mail and subnet projects, see some portfolio examples at work.techindika.com. — Pradeep

Hi, I've deployed and hardened high volume Linux mail infrastructures using Ubuntu, Postfix, Netplan, Nginx, PHP, telemetry pipelines, webhook integrations, and DNS reputation optimization. I'm comfortable with kernel tuning (BBR, limits), routed subnet configuration, sender dependent transport maps, log streaming, and structured milestone based delivery. One suggestion: no provider can realistically guarantee a perfect 10/10 validation score since reputation and DNS propagation involve external factors. Everything else is well within scope. I'd estimate $600 to $900 and 5 to 7 days plus the verification window. Sahanaj

Treat the bid amount and timeline above as rough ballparks for now. We'll firm up the real numbers once we walk through the exact scope together. From what you've described, you need a clean, headless Postfix setup on a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 minimal install, with a full /28 routed via Netplan, each usable IP statically aliased to match your existing rDNS/PTR naming (s1 through s14). On top of that sits a LEMP-backed marketing automation layer, sender-dependent transport maps, and a log-shipping pipeline pushing real-time mail metrics to an external JSON webhook. The goal is a clean 10/10 on external validation tools by the end of the 9-day window. That's a tight, well-scoped sprint and we're comfortable with that kind of pressure. Here's how we'd approach it: - OS hardening: Ubuntu 22.04 minimal base, BBR enabled via sysctl, nofile limits pushed to 65535, unnecessary services stripped before anything else goes on. - Netplan /28 routing: contiguous block configured with static aliases mapped sequentially to match your rDNS naming architecture, verified against PTR records before moving to Milestone 2. - Postfix + LEMP: sender-dependent transport maps bound per-IP, Nginx + PHP-FPM + MySQL underneath the automation layer, configs kept headless and minimal. - Telemetry: log-shipping agent (Filebeat or a lightweight equivalent) parsing mail logs in real time and forwarding structured JSON payloads to your webhook endpoint. After a short scope call we'll put together a written proposal covering both milestones, deliverables, and a firm price. Want to jump on a quick call this week to walk through the rDNS layout and confirm the automation stack you're running? Best, 96 Studio

You need a clean Postfix + LEMP stack on Ubuntu 22.04 with a /28 subnet aliased across s1–s14 PTR records, BBR enabled, and log-shipping to a JSON webhook — all within 7 days. I've done nearly identical work: configured Netplan static IP aliasing for multi-IP outbound Postfix with sender-dependent transport maps, tuned nofile limits and BBR on bare-metal Ubuntu, and wired Filebeat/rsyslog to webhook endpoints for real-time mail log streaming. I can deliver both milestones — base hardening + Netplan /28 config (M1), then Postfix transport maps, LEMP integration, and telemetry pipeline (M2) — well within your 7-day sprint, with documentation for each stage. I'm comfortable with the NDA/IP assignment requirement before credential handoff. What's the marketing automation layer — Mautic, Listmonk, or something else?

Hello there, We will deploy your hardened Postfix MTA on Ubuntu 22.04 with Netplan subnet mapping, LEMP stack, and log telemetry to your webhook endpoint. For the /28 block, we will bind each usable IP sequentially and align PTR records so sender-dependent transport maps route cleanly across all 14 addresses. BBR and fd tuning will be handled in the base layer. A couple of quick things to confirm: 1) Which marketing automation platform are we deploying on the LEMP stack? 2) Is the /28 block already delegated with your provider for rDNS control? The number quoted here is a starting estimate. The exact cost and timeline will be confirmed after we go through the full scope together. Send me a message and we can go over the details.
