Design and build a prototype of a 15W DC/DC converter 760V to 12V

Hi, I am a post graduate power electronics engineer and having very good industrial experience of 8+ years in R&D and project development. I am excellent in power supplies design and development. I already designed and developed power supply of 12V/1A whihc is operating of 100V-600VAC and 90V-1100VAC. Which means DC voltage approxmately from 120V-1600V. I worked on other projects related to SMPS, LED drivers, DC-DC, AC-DC converters design, PFC interleaved boost converter, Battery management system, Battery chargers, UPS design, sine wave Inverters, solar grid tie inverters, Solar battery chargers and street light systems design from few watts to KW range using Buck, Boost, and Buck –boost, Interleaved boost/buck, Fly back Push Pull and H-bridge inverters. I have very good experience to design high voltage power supplies up to 50KV for capacitor charging power supplies using soft switching topologies. I have work experience to design from few watts to KW range meeting all compliances like EMI/EMC and safety standards UL etc.

Hello, After reading your specs I think it's feasible, the required efficiency at full load may be difficult to reach at the cost of U$3,00 unit for 2kpc, I think that an efficiency higher than 85% is more common when using these low cost switchers with integrated switch, also the transformer must be custom made and the price will vary depending where you manufacture it, usually for low cost I have some chinese companies that can make it. Hello sir, What you need is a DC DC buck converter rated to 15W. This is totally related to power electronics and I have practical experience in producing and designing many of these. I am an electrical engineer with good knowledge in power electronics field. I believe I can design, make a prototype successfully and send you the converter over mail as quickly as possible. All the equipment to design, produce the circuits are with me. I checked your requirements give in the PDF. Surely the cost will be less than USD 3. I will be using IGBT. Hello, On the plus side, I have a design for 1000V DC multiple output SMPS of upto 30W. (This is a part of Solar grid tied inverter). So all I have to do is scale it down to 760V, 15W. On the downside. It is not possible to bring total components cost to less than 3.00/-USD. The TopSwitch is the most low cost solution available and TOP264 itself costs 1USD.(in quantities of 2K) Not to mention the Bulk capacitors at input where we need atleast two each of 450V mouser price for which is 1USD approx per pieces. (in quantities of 2K) MOSFET, Snubber, Rectifier diodes and flyback transformer , NTC for inrush, - Another 3USD estimated. I have gone through your project requirements and understand what you are trying to create and the goals for this project. Although I believe it can be a possible task the less than $3 BOM cost is going to pose some considerable challenges especially for higher voltages. Testing will also pose a challenge for most freelancers since maximum rectified voltage from an AC input is 650V. I am an electrical engineer working as a project leader in the design of electronics for industrial remote control systems for industrial machinery. I have previously been involved in the design of a single phase to three phase motor control inverter. The inverter had a rectified DC voltage of 650V and used mosfet to create a sinusoidal ouptut for VF control. This project helped me solidify more my understanding on high voltage power electronics design. Some reasons for choosing me are the knowledge that I have on project design, I am from a European country (Malta) with good English knowledge and a wide variety of skills.
