Hello
Read a few more documents, (mostly training documents) about the rear steering design. It was an exciting research for me, let me break it down to you.
Sensor is a inductive type rather than a potentiometer with an accuracy of 4.5 volt per 1200 degree accuracy for position 1 i.e 0.00375 volt per degree and 0.025 for position 2.
That is a fairly simple design which requires a magnetic disk rotating on hall effect sensor, this sensor is quite common in electronic world and is often customised according to client for ex: automatic door
Though I want this design to be digital, as it can be more accurate and predictive than the analog counterpart but it can be analog(same as original) if you want.
Few considerations:
1. We don't build metal enclosures, but that is fairly easy to outsource, we can do it for you.
2. Considering the enclosure is intact I'll ship you the sensor in perfect working condition with new PCB, or you can see my working prototype before shipping.
