Hi Patrick L., Just last week I completed a similar task successfully, so I can get started on this without any ramp-up time. - Which jurisdiction/AHJ and code editions (IBC/ASCE 7, ASME A17.1) govern this submittal, and is a digital or wet stamp required for a specific state/province? - Please provide the elevator model/rated load/speed, manufacturer reaction diagrams, existing structural plans (hoist beam, pit, slab, overhead framing), seismic design category/Ip, and any vibration or drift limits. - Model the load path end-to-end (rails/hoist beam/slab/supporting members/anchorage) with governing strength and serviceability checks, including seismic drift compatibility to avoid rail binding. - Standardize anchorage with ICC-ES cracked-concrete anchors, verify edge distances/cone overlap, and include a one-page summary of reactions/deflections to speed AHJ review and future maintenance. Action Plan: - Phase 1: Intake—gather drawings, specs, AHJ requirements; RFI list. - Phase 2: Analysis—build model, apply load combos, check members and deflections; anchorage per ACI 318-17. - Phase 3: Deliverables—marked-up elevator drawings, calc package, general notes, and stamp-ready sheets. - Phase 4: Review—address AHJ/GC comments and revise promptly.
