Project: Typing of Newspaper Obituaries
Time: A few days
Requirements: Read and Type English, Use Microsoft Word
Budget: $50 USD
For this project, I will supply 130 ( +/- a few) jpg images of newspaper obituaries. The freelancer will need to type each obituary into a new and separate Microsoft Word file. I will send the freelancer a zip folder of all the images with an Microsoft Excel file that contains a spreadsheet of the work. The return delivery method will be a zip folder containing all the individual Microsoft Word files. Each Microsoft Word file will have the same layout and the same naming structure (see below). Very important. All obituaries must be typed exactly as the image shows. This includes all misspellings, errors, line returns, ect. If during the work, a question arises on format, layout, or anything else, I would rather have an email sent to me asking the question then to have the work done wrong. So during the work, feel free to ask questions. After the project is started, I can supply a obituary image with the corresponding Microsoft Word file as an example.
File naming structure: "Obit Typed - Lastname, Firstname Middlename (Maiden name).docx"
File layout:
line1: Newspaper Name, Page Number, Column Number
line2: Day, Month Day, Year (example: Saturday, February 22, 1992)
line3: blank return
line4: Name as appears on obituary in bold ( Format: Italic )
line5: one tab in and start typing
end line: blank return
