Hello, I have a high school and an academic degree in economics I trade based on fundamental and technical analysis but also on my own intuition. My investment experience starts in 1997 with currencies and mutual funds. I've been trading: stocks, crypto, ETFs, indices and commodities since 2015 Most of my trades: stocks (on 3 markets: US, EU and Asia) Risk score: no more than 5, even if I do trade volatile assets. Targeted profit/year - minimum 10% On request I can show you stats from an account with about 12% return this year made in only 3 months. Here is an example of an article I wrote: ?? The main big problem with shorting is the risk. ?? 1. ↗️ Every 10 years the market doubles the value. ↗️ 2. ⏰ Timing - due to 1, shorting gives you a small time frame and exact timing is hard on a market that depends on millions of reasons. ⏰ 3.? Fees - even without leverage you pay fees. If you missed the short you get a loss and you also pay fees. ? 4. Related to 3: you pay minimum fees if you open a short with 500? and that is not a small amount of money! Sure you can open smaller position with leverage, but then again leverage is a ⛔⛔⛔ 5. Maximum (theoretical) gain is 100%. For a buy position, the gain can be unlimited! I don't think you will make more than 70 - 80% on a short due to timing (first you realize it's safe to make a short and you lose gain until you do)!
