Build a Website

Re-build / Re-skin / Re-design 2 existing websites. They are focused on lead generation for the Australian copier industry. One site generates the leads and informs copier buyers. The other site is for dealer registration, profile setup and lead purchase and distribution. Starting from a thorough understanding of the existing sites, I require a re-design concept to be developed and executed. I have some ideas but need creative and strategic input from the chosen provider. Both sites were set up 6-7 years ago by me. A freelancer developed the PHP scripts that make everything functional. Both sites mainly use HTML, PHP and Ajax with a MySQL database. The problem: The sites are old, outdated, have coding/html errors, look relatively unprofessional and are in serious need of a makeover. They are also unresponsive to different devises and browser types. Definitely not user friendly on mobiles and tablets. The solution: In an ideal world, rather than a front-end re-skin only, I think both sites need to be completely redeveloped from the ground up, but based on the existing functionality. Existing scripts can of course be utilized if necessary and if this helps. Content can initially remain the same as well, but I require the capability to easily add, edit, and delete pages. Better landing page design is crucial, ideally with A/B testing capability. There will also be some improved functionality requirements, including for example a staged lead acquisition process by obtaining buyer information in stages, i.e. 1) minimum info, 2) additional info and 3) comprehensive info. The leads could then be sold as these 3 lead types with different pricing per lead, depending on the lead quality score (e.g. 1, 2 or 3). Key Project Goals: • Completely reskin/redesign both sites to bring them up to spec in terms of looks, UI/UX, design technology and landing page performance and SE optimisation. • Rebuild the sites on a better platform, ideally with a CMS system, so it can easily be edited without the need for a developer for simple editing and page additions. They need to be responsive and optimised for all browsers and screen sizes (incl. mobiles, tablets), have proper coding, and optimised for SE’s. Especially one of them, as this is the lead gen site. • Include new and improved functionality, including lead generation for additional products & services relating to the industry. • Greatly increase conversions (quote requests) by developing highly effective landing pages combined with an effective quote request process also helping increase conversions. A more detailed scope of work (SOW) and site details will be given to 3 shortlisted providers and also further discussed via Skype etc. The shortlist will be selected based on the detail in their initial response to this job and their understanding of it, their capability (skill set), as well as proof of past projects of similar complexity. Sorry but I don’t want any newbies on this. Expected skill set will probably include: 1. Laravel – PHP Framework 2. Modern Relational DB / MySQL 3. RESTful Web Service 4. HTML 5 5. CSS 3 6. Javascript 7. Responsive Design 8. Graphic Design Depending on me finding a suitable provider and cost, I would like to start the project ASAP (January or earlier) and looking for overall completion by Feb 14 or earlier. As far as budget goes, I am unsure and need your initial estimate. A firm quote is expected from the shortlisted providers once they have reviewed the detailed SOW and conducted an analysis of the existing sites. I am just one person, not a company, so have no unlimited budget and need to get this done on as small a budget as possible. However, I do need quality, experience and good communication and will be realistic in my expectation on cost for this. Thanks for your response.
