Fashion website redesign

Context: We are a fashion brand that deal in handwoven silk from the ancient city of Varanasi, India. The cloth is used for sarees, stoles and dress materials. We have been in this trade since 1947 and have built a loyal set of consumers over the past 6 decades. We are now expanding our presence in the e-commerce space. Objective: To make a website that showcases our collection and induces trust in the visitor, to finally complete a purchase. The current barrier to buying silk online is lack of trust for the following two reasons: 1. Since the average price of a stole or a dress material is upwards of Rs. 2,000, people want to touch it and feel it to understand how the quality is 2. There are a lot of counterfeits in the market and people are unable to distinguish between originals and counterfeits. Hence, they prefer paying a little extra as long as they are assured that it's genuine silk. Think of it like diamonds and how they have a 'forevermark' and how people are willing to pay a premium Target audience: The target audience are Indian women who are over the age of 35 years, have a discerning aesthetic sense, reside in the metro cities of India, might or might not have a smartphone. Their average qualification is under-graduation. They are a mix of working professionals and housewives who browse Instagram, Facebook for inspirations around how to set up their house, latest fashion trends, etc. They usually go for domestic holidays within India with their husband and kids. Once in 2 years, they go for an international holiday. References: Pinterest. The target audience is active on Pinterest and are familiar with the interface. So we should capitalise on that and redesign the website keeping Pinterest as a reference. Sections in the website: Some of the sections that I want in the website are: To induce trust: 1.
