Municipal screening, grit and sludge handling are our primary focus, but SPIRAC also offers conveying, dewatering and washing equipment for industrial applications. The two main screen categories are fine and coarse screens. We provide two coarse screens MULTIGUARD and RAKEGUARD and the following fine screens: SPIROGUARD, BANDGUARD, FINEGUARD, STEPGUARD & DRUMGUARD. Coarse screen as the name implies are for bigger objects and use bar screens with apertures down to 6mm. Most of our Fine Screens use perforated screens with up to 2mm apertures. All screens use different methods to screen wastewater. About GUARD: All our screens include the name GUARD, the “GUARD” character should resemble an ice hockey goal keeper. We would like to include bar screens and perforated screens in the character. GUARD protects the downstream plant and prevents any possible damage, unnecessary wear tear, pipe blockages and the accumulation of unwanted material that will interfere with the required waste water treatment processes. The character should be strong and friendly. Not to complex to be able to animate the character.
