Sound & Light Concepts is primarily an installer of performance sound, lighting and av systems. Over the years we have grown into the maintenance side as well and now offer specialist PAT and periodic testing for performance systems in school, college, university, theatres etc. We also sell equipment through our dealerships with many of the leading brands.
In 2007 a separate company Sound & Light UK was started as a hobby of the MD to service the rental side of the industry from full production to dry hire and everything inbetween. SLUK can cater for anything from a musical theatre show, festival, award ceremony, corporate event, etc.
After many successful years with both companies we are looking to merge them with sound and light concepts remaining as there is becoming an increasing overlap in the work, this gives our customers a one stop shop for everything. As part of the merger i want to update Sound & Light Concepts whole branding starting with a new logo.
The Brief:
I require a new Logo for Sound & Light Concepts, it needs to be simple, effective, modern and clean. I think i know what I'm after if someone can help to put it down on paper:
- Written as Sound & Light Concepts - the abbreviation SLC doesn't really say what we do although this could be incorporated into an icon maybe
- A primary, possibly secondary, colour that can be carried thoughout the branding
- An Icon can be used to help tie the brand together although i would like it to be removable without detracting from the logo.
- I think it needs to be rectangular as oppose to square in format to work on the following
* Standard Stationary - business card, letterhead etc
* Websites / Social Media
* Sign written on Vehicles & flightcases
* Cable labels & equipment stickers
- Needs to work on both Black & White backgrounds
I would like the logo to work for the corporate side of contracting & maintenance but also have a bit of flare and fun for the rental side of the business.
