Set up a web-server with a PHP-application

I first need help setting up a development-server for my project. Today the project runs on cpanel with MySQL and PHP with some different addons like [login to view URL] (I am not the expert on this). I all ready have a developing team on this project, but I need an independent professional look on it. I am hoping to set up a VirtualBox-VM to run the project on my own computer. I can set up the basics and know VirtualBox quite well, but I want you to take the job of setting up MySQL, Apache, PHP etc. I have just set up an Ubuntu-machine, but if you prefer a different setup that will be OK. So - I need an adviser and bug-fixer who will be able to help the developing team perform faster and better. You also need to help with some designing. Our designer is not full time and not always available. You need to be available to create some designs if needed. So - basically I am looking for someone or some team who are both coders and designers.
