The team identified a need of Aston University students to be able to gather information on modules and professors in order to make an educated selection of their term optional modules. Currently, students have to directly and personally contact other students enrolled in such modules to gather their opinion. This process is time consuming and highly subjective. The project purpose is to provide aston’s students with a dedicated platform where they will be able to learn about a module or lecturer popularity among students who previously completed it along with their feedback. The platform will be a dynamic website accessible through a common web browsing application. Ideally, a read only version allowing registered users to browse and read information will be available on mobile platform. The entire system will only be available to student having a @[login to view URL] email account. To reduce project cost, the platform should be developed based on free and available content management systems (“CMS”) including but not limited to: wordpress, joomla, drupal, etc. Please refer to the attached document for futher details on functionalities and requirements.
