Hi Connor, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - in the first place, I will need to know how many boards designs you need/want, for which arrangements (bottle with how many glasses), and dimensions 2 - I could make the designs for the boards more interesting than the ones shown in the kickstarter campaign you've linked... 3 - while most cnc routers accept dxf, stp or even stl files, g-code is tricky to have generated outside your post-processor (it should keep count of the machine parameters and settings) 4 - I could also do some samples/small batch of the boards (with inscriptions, etc) - but this will be a separate job :) 5 - if we'll work on this project and will be happy with my work, besides the payment, you'll owe me a bottle of single malt, right?... :) For any more questions we could chat here. Now on the project itself, I have no experience with milling myself, but I work on Rhino 3D, which creates highly precise models that can be exported to Meshcam, a software that transforms 3D models into G Code with very high efficiency, but that would depend on your milling machine and possibilities. I would love to chat with you to discuss your exact ideas and what are your actual possibilities with the mill, since it would be great to have everything engraved with different heights without having things painted like in your example. Hi, I am a machinist and CAD designer. Recently I have done cnc files for wooden guitars which came out pretty great (I can show you pictures if needed). I can design you a board just like you ask for, but I would just ask if there are more precise dimensions to those kinds of boards, like thickness and exterior dimensions. The map and letters should be engraved to be able to use a v-shape tool that would be perfect for that job. The rest of the milling could be done with at least a 6mm end mill. I always supply a worshop report along with the gcode files. that would tell you initial stock dimensions, tools, and machine ceros. The 3D files once done are not a problem whatsoever to supply and in many formats, igs, stl, etc. I would be more than happy to take this job, Its the kind of jobs I enjoy doing.
