Startup that requires a Chrome and a Firefox extension.
The extension will watch the address entry textbox in the browser and when determining that the user has entered something we call a Koda (A Koda always contains two(2) dashes: "example - - 1cf4r") then the extension will make a simple html call sending the Koda to one of several possible web pages. The call will return a valid domain name or ip address and then allows the browser to redirect to the returned web page.
All that is needed is the browser side of the process as the html page(s) will be created in-house based on what details the extension needs to accomplish the task.
This is seen as a single project, but two separate extensions will be required so the individual getting the job will need to be proficient in both browsers.
All code will be delivered and editable for other programmers to adjust as required.
All errors will be treated as user entry problems and handled by the browser.
Non-working Koda will treat the entry as a simple search option. A non-working Koda is defined as a Koda that cannot return a valid URL and will return a null or other indicator as determined by the extension needs.
We expect this to be a rather simple endeavor and will pay $200 for the entire package as a project. While we would like a timely result, we would prefer quality over speed.
We expect that contact with our staff will be required to determine interfacing needs and mostly by email, but phone calls are an option.
