Add an additional component to my phaser (javascript framework) web application (game)

I have a web app, which is a game. It's working with Firestore database. It's already running perfectly fine, I just need to extend it by one more game mode, which is called PvP, but it's not pvp. The code for game play is copy paste 90% from pve game state. You need to add functionalities like matchmaking (which isn't realtime pvp), rating (is described well), rewards (is described well and you can copy a lot of existing code again), ..
