Hire a Web Developer

I’m working back here in Australia looking for a skilled wordpress developer to help me build an agency website with a twist. I’m wanting to get the best version of what I want in the beginning. I’ve got grand plans to make this great, but am aware that the costs will keep us out of the game if we try too hard at the start. What I want is to get the minimum viable version out there to test our concept and then in the future reinvest in building the main thing. SO what we want is a clean business website to show off the work of our talented artists and all the usual business stuff, proving our reliability through testimonials, case studies, contact form, etc….. all the parts that seanwes is about. The pain that we want to solve: Finding and commissioning artists online is a time consuming process. To many of my clients through years of mural work many of them say that they don’t know where to look to find them. they don’t know what styles are available or what sort of prices to expect. Each individual artist requires many emails or calls, they often find the most popular artists through instagram, but they are way out of their price range. Sometimes interior design firms are looking too and they don’t have time to trawl through a million pinterest pages to find the right person for the job. Our site is a catalogue of many many artists across different styles across australia, (Europe too later in 2017) What we want to do is bring some of the refine search tools that exist on consumer sites like Society6 and other retail online shopping to the process of finding artists portfolios. On the back end when we upload our artists work, we will have heavily tagged each image with allthe atttributed relevant info. Our Find-an-Artist page will have: * ::A search bar for finding keywords or artist names * ::A tag cloud or tag list to click and refine the search by category, eg colour, black and white, abstract, animal, people. * ::We would like to have each artist with a 1-5 star rating too so that we can prove the high quality of certain artists and their proffessionalism, which will help our clients have confidence in us. * :: an ability to have an artist selected pop into our contact form?? Ie organic or mechanical, figurative or abstract, b&w or colour etc etc Regarding UI, look and feel of the site. We have started building a squarespace site as it’s a great looking and easy to use site. I use squarespace for my portfolio page for my illustations. We want this to be simple for a time poor business owner or agency designer to click through and use with simple to find nav and simple big buttons.
