I own an agency. My agency provides local SEO and social media marketing services to small businesses in the USA. I\'m looking to hire an SEO expert to do the SEO work for my clients.
Don\'t apply unless you have several years of experience doing LOCAL seo (not nationwide) and can show me several successful websites that you have done local SEO for and have moved them to Google\'s front page (map/local rankings) and have also gotten them showing up in the top organic rankings for local searches (for example, dentist springville, UT).
Also, don\'t bother applying unless you can tell me what software you will use to manage the SEO tasks and to deliver the reporting to my clients under my brand (which is [login to view URL]).
You need to be a senior and well seasoned local online marketing expert who can look at a set of keywords and a URL, use industry best practices and best tools to assess that client\'s needs, and then you need to be able to create a plan for how you will get them ranking where we need them and you need to be able to prioritize that plan into a monthly and daily set of activities that will result in my clients getting the rankings they are seeking. You\'ll need to be able to prioritize all of your work across my many different clients. You\'ll also send monthly reports to my clients, using my company branding ([login to view URL]), to show them some site analytics (you\'ll pull this from Google Analytics), to show them how the keywords we\'re working on for them are currently ranking and to show trends that will show them how we\'re moving their rankings up on those keywords, and to show them stats from their Google My Business pages, etc.
Also - your English skills (speaking, spelling, and especially grammar) must be almost perfect - basically Native level English - or I won\'t even respond to you.
You\'ll need to know how to make on-page SEO improvements (meta and content) to my client\'s word press websites. You\'ll need to be able to write original content and publish it on my client\'s websites to help them rank for the keywords they need. You\'ll need to be able to clean up their NAP (name address and phone #) on many local directories throughout the web & make sure these directories all list my client\'s info consistently. Etc.
I won\'t be determining and telling you what SEO activities to do for my clients each day/week/month. I need to hire someone who has the expertise to know what each of my clients need most in order to continue moving them up in the map and orgainc search results for the keywords we\'re optimizing them for.
Social media marketing expertise is a plus, but not necessary.
