We require the creation of an application that will run on the iphone and be available for download via the apple app store. We have a full design brief available but below is a far less detailed version. Bidders who get in contact with us and provide examples of other iphone apps that they have created (similar to this one preferably, but not essential) will be provided with the full design brief. The application will enable a user to browse a catalogue of audio translation items available for purchase. The user should be able to hear a preview clip of each item in the catalogue. If the user chooses to purchase one of the items, the in app purchase function should be used to complete the transaction. A server will then be sent the order details. Delivery of the item will be via email though this falls outside of the scope of this proposal. As well as purchasing standard translation audio items, the user will also be able to order a customised translation item. For this, the user will fill in a form detailing the specifics of the item required. In addition, the user will be able to create a small audio clip of their own to provide further details about the item that they need (for example to add pronunciation hints). This audio recording will be included in the order details. All the data used in this application will be bundled with the application download itself and will not have to be downloaded over the internet at run time. The only network communication required will be for: - The in app purchase (the server side needs to know the details of the transaction to complete delivery). - The delivery time check (the app displays an estimated time for delivery of customisable audio items and this time needs to be fetched from a server) We will provide some example content to populate the application but once it has been developed and delivered, the source code will be edited and the final images added by us to complete the application before being signed on behalf of the client and submitted to the app store. Therefore example text only is necessary, the final wording will be decided upon at a later stage by us. Below is a breakdown of the pages within the app: Screen 1 - Main Screen, displays category options - link to screen 3 and lists categories which link to screen 2. Screen 2 - Category Screen, displays dialect/phrases grouped by language for a single category - link to screen 3 and lists phrases which link to screen 5 for ordering Screen 3 - Create Screen for custom translation orders - Input form that allows the user to enter details of what they would like translating, provide their contact details and offers the opportunity to the user to attach a sound file that they can record on their phone from within the app (file to be sent to us with the order) which is a link to screen 4. Once the form is complete user proceeds to screen 6. Screen 4 - Record Audio Clip Screen - Functions that allow the user to record and playback a sound file from within the app. Screen 5 - Order Details Screen for standard phrase order - User confirms that they want to purchase the stock phrase item and provides their contact details. Proceeds to screen 6. Screen 6 - Confirmation Screen, user confirms to purchase - User confirms that they want to place the order. Proceeds to screen 7. Screen 7 - Finished Screen - thanks them for their order and offers them the opportunity to go back to another screen in the app Screen 8 - Help Screens - almost all screens will have a help screen of their own. each will follow a similar format, but the text on each screen may differ. We would like to have the free analytics engine from pinchmedia integrated into the app. We require the default configuration with no GPS positioning and are interested simply in which screens are being navigated to. We haven't implemented in app purchase before on the iPhone so some of the details may need to be worked out. Please indicate any issues you might encounter when using apple's in app purchasing system. For example: Will a display of the price in different territories be feasible before purchase (see screen 6). Are there standard apple purchase screens? What data is passed to the client on completion of a purchase? How are the sellers informed about pending payments? We will require the source code and project files for the application such that it is possible to edit the data items and re build the application using xCode. We would like to have all quotes in by September 9th and hope to instruct the wining bidder by September 14th. We would like delivery of the final code ASAP once the developer has been instructed to start. There is some flexibility in these dates so if you have some scheduling issues, we can probably work around them as long as we discuss them in advance. Again, we have a full brief of the design for this application. This will be provided to bidders who get in contact with us with examples of work that they have already done on iphone apps (possibly of a similar nature, but not necessarily).
