Face Recognition is done as under:- Photograph of a person is converted to Matrix and stored as reference. When another photograph needs to be "recognized", then this too is converted into a Matrix and then matched to the many matrices stored as reference. If the (fuzzy) matching results in a "confidence score" above a threshold, the new photo is "recognized" as of the same person whose photo-matrix in the reference database was matched. The requirement is for two functions to be developed in Java as under:- a) Takes a photo (or its path) as the input and returns the corresponding reference matrix. b) Takes two reference matrices as inputs and returns a "confidence score" based on how these match.
