Joomla - RSS or JSON Feed of articles, to include custom fields

I have a new Joomla 3.9.27 website, and need to get it generating a feed including custom fields.
The standard RSS feed works out of the box, but only includes Article content and metadata. It does not include custom fields for that article.
I have tried JoomRSS extension, this gets closer as it can output JSON which would be the preferable format, but it still does not include custom fields.
I need a developer to either edit the standard joomla feed generator, making it export JSON and include the custom fields.... or edit the JoomRSS component, making it include custom fields.
