I have big data of ships(ship’s id, date(yyyymmdd), time(hhmmss), longitude(degree), latitude(degree), speed(knots), course(degree))
The time interval of the raw data is about 30seconds ~ 1 minute depend on receiving rate of antenna.
That is why each data of ship has different time stamp.
I’d like to calculate distance between two ships in the same time.
So, I interpolated all ships data every 2 seconds for calculating distance.
The interpolated data changed to 30 times bigger than the raw data.
I attached sample data of only 12 ships.
It should be met 2 criteria (time, distance) in the same time.
First criterion is hours, threshold value is 3 hours
it means that
Second criterion is distance, threshold value is 15 nautical miles
I'd like to get this data which is how many days like meeting two criteria.
I have big data for 1 year, 2014
I divided into monthly data.
I uploaded just sample data of July on google drive
I share you my google drive.

please download the data file from the google drive
If you solve this project, I will use for-loop due to monthly data.
Please consider it
I made the powerpoint for your understanding.
Please read carefully.

It has been very long since I work on MATLAB. Many tasks and projects were done in uni. I got used to tracing the code line by line to make sure that each line outputs the expected results.
