I want a bearing sensor where anybody can monitor its present situation. Let us say, the bearing is fitted on the machine with a sensor on the plant. Maintenance Manager is monitoring in his/her office which is far from the plant and can identify the situation of the bearing on his/her computer. based on the status of bearing he/she can decide/plan to change the bearing or repair the bearing.

Dear Sir/Madam, This is a interesting project. How are you intending of determining bearing degradation? Heat and vibration going beyond a certain level? I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - there are more parameters to be monitored on the bearings, and also depends the bearing type, machine type, working conditions etc, etc 2 - you could monitor, temperature, vibrations, oscillation, noise, etc 3 - depending on all the issues above, there could be designed a case which to be fitted with different sensors and have a wifi transmission to the monitor office, but will need more than just - each set of sensors should have its own tag/label/identifier, a mean to determine what sensors are active, a power source etc Regards Bogdan
