Mobile & Web Development Team to Help Turn Our Node.js Web App into a 5-Star iOS/Android Mobile App

Yoyo Chinese ([login to view URL]) helps thousands of language learners learn Mandarin every day using a combination of video lessons and interactive features like flashcards, quizzes, progress tracking, and more. We’re looking for an accomplished mobile and web development team to help us turn our web app into a stellar 5-star iOS and Android mobile app. Our new mobile app will integrate seamlessly with our existing Node.js web app, and therefore we need a team who can not only help bring our product to mobile, but also take over the continued development and maintenance of our web app. Responsibilities: - Working closely with our product team to develop and launch our new iOS and Android mobile apps that integrate seamlessly with our existing Node.js web app - Taking over the continued daily operation of our web and mobile apps as our dedicated tech team, helping with general code optimization and refactoring, bug squashing, and improving/developing both existing and new features Qualifications: - An excellent track record with experience developing and launching at least 3 highly-rated (4-5 star) iOS and Android apps with 50+ reviews each - Experience using both native and cross-platform development strategies (Swift, Java/Kotlin, React Native, Xamarin) - Experience developing and maintaining mobile apps alongside web apps that are synced seamlessly for both front-end and back-end users - 2+ years of proven Node.js experience coding beautiful, high-performing, efficient web apps - Excellent client satisfaction in the past. We will need to talk to your existing / previous clients to get their perspective. - Highly proficient in Node.js server-side frameworks - Highly proficient in basic HTML5/Javascript/CSS3/Ajax - Highly proficient in Express + Jade framework, with relevant development experience using similar technology. - Familiar with CSS front end UI framework such as BootStrap/LESS/SASS, etc. - Ability to design, execute, and maintain complex MySQL databases - Experience with and Agile Scrum development and effective, organized project management skills - Excellent coding practices, using clean and tidy code with a high level of maintainability. - Strong ability to drive requirement analysis - Excellent English communication abilities and project management skills - Able to work closely with our team here in Southern California from any location both online and in person via video chat Questions for You: Questions: 1.
