We will be using REST, VB.Net and MySQL. We have VB.Net functions that processes a XML dataset then creates a XML dataset of the results. We want to make this functionality available as a Web Service. An application would send data including Company ID, Application ID, user name, password and other necessary information along with the XML dataset. The service would return the processed XML dataset. The database would be used to validate the user and would also log each api call. Initially, the database would not be accessed by the third party user or by an order entry system. Orders would be taken on another system that is not part of this request and manually added to the database. The above is a general outline of what we need. The successful bidder would review and suggest changes to our specifications, write the validation software on the server side, help with deployment and provide consultation for a successful project. The bidder should submit an hourly rate with an estimate of the hours required (within a range) based on their experience working on projects of this nature.
