I would recommend that you can go with SSRS reports with SQL database. Crystal report is also fine but it is now very old reporting tool and doesn't have many features. You don't need to buy anything from SSRS. We need 2 dll component to execute SSRS report. you only need to install SSRS service on your server. And all your SSRS report will connect to SQL database.
