Performance_Dashboards

This project is for a small video gaming club, not a corporation. We are looking for a full stack solution, preferably deployed in AWS. The three main components would be a web site front end, a simple database on the back end, and lambda (or cron job?) to pull data from a 3rd party via web API. We are thinking a Beanstalk, RDS, Lambda combo but are open to other architectures. The basic design would look like this: At some interval, several DB tables would be populated via API call. The front end would show the results of several pre-filtered DB queries. These queries will be simple ordered lists. No fancy pie charts just text lists. Many values to be displayed are not in the data but will need to be calculated from the data (running averages over the last 8 weeks and things like that). There also may be some data type conversions necessary as well. There are two different ways to interpret the data so we'd like these to be separated by tabs on the front end. For example, averages per person or averages per location. The dataset will be very small and will not grow very quickly. Maybe +500 records a week. We are not concerned with fault tolerance or high availability. Challenges: We can point you to good documentation on the API. but don't fully understand what the third parties data structure is like. Our data structure is not fully defined yet either. And it is unlikely we will get it right on the first pass. This project will require some iteration. We would like to keep the source code at the end of the project. We can provide AWS account access as needed.
