Information Technology Helpdesk Support Manager - proficient in Databases knowledge

•The position is located in Mexico City Distrito Federal, Mexico. Some travel to other locations in Mexico may be required. •Provides IT helpdesk management services for the INL in Mexico City, Mexico. •The incumbent will supervise personnel from the same contractor who support the BIO IT offices.•Ensures the IT computer service interruptions are kept to a maximum of five hours per week. •Coordinates with Embassy Information Management Office to provide INL personnel with reliable telephone, cellular telephone, Blackberry, computer equipment, Internet, and DoS Intranet services. •Arranges for maintenance, updating, security, and reliability of INL-owned information systems not under Embassy IMO responsibility.•Ensures INL upgrades information systems equipment and software in accordance with DoS replacement guidelines.•Assists INL with IT-related procurement packages requests as required. •Briefs INL staff on IT issues that can affect INL performance. •Prepares weekly and periodic reports in English relating to IT services status, issues, and recommendations. •Five (5) years of IT/helpdesk experience is required.•Two (2) years experience with Microsoft Sever and SQL applications.•Two (2) years of experience in IT management is desirable. •Progressive leadership positions in the past five years.•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, MS Project, and internally developed databases. •Must be proficient in Databases knowledge, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Web development and integration and languages, HTML, PHP, SharePoint, Flash, Silverlight. •Must be current on new information technologies, hardware, software, upgrades, updates and compatibility issues and will suggest applicable changes or modifications.-
