add Ecommerce facilities to current site

morning, I am interested in adding credit card functionality as in a gateway and establishing a merchant's account to an existing site. Site is: [login to view URL] > areas to be developed in site are: [login to view URL] and [login to view URL] I had some questions if you could answer I would greatly appreciate in terms of a rough estimate and timeframe: Site features: -Site is hosted at [login to view URL] which supports SQL server, also MySQL (another database). -Site/cart is done using ASP -Cart is a Charon Cart V3 [login to view URL] Questions for you: Site Review Suggestions...overall and specific to shopping area. Database What do you suggest as far as the database? keeping the Access one or upgrading to SQL server? if update how much? This dependent on traffic, security, yes. If not lot's of traffic, access ok? ASP We probably prefer to keep it as a ASP/Microsoft site not PHP (which uses MySQL). Prefer ASP rather than using asp.net. If you suggest this, why? Updates We want to be able to do the updates to the cart ourselves (should be a given but after this part of the site is done, we do not want to need for you to do updates) Support what is your policy as far as support for your work? how much do you charge if we wanted some programming work done later? per hour charge? Merchant Account What do you use and/or suggest? how much? Gateway What gateway would you suggest and why? how much?
