Completion of Project: Mail to RSS Website

We previously started a project called [login to view URL] to create a website to forward email to RSS. The coder had problems with the email aspect of the project. The frontend and admin areas seem to be fine. We need someone to complete the Email to RSS part of the project. Here is the scope: We require a PERL script that can be called from cron. It has to perform the following functions: 1. Receive emails directly as an SMTP server. a. Compare incoming message to: headers to a unique identifier stored in MySQL database. i. Destroy messages that are intended for recipients that are not in the database ii. Process all others b. Read the message in and store it temporarily 2. Process messages that are received a. Strip off any attachments (pdf's, executables, etc... ) - A certain set of attachments may be kept (images and the like). b. Parse the messages into the following fields: i. From: ii. Subject: iii. Delivery Date / Time iv. Body 1. Messages that contain HTML bodies should be stripped of bad tags (iFrames, javascript, etc...) 2. Messages that do not contain HTML bodies should use the text body. Messages that contain HTML bodies should use the HTML body. c. Pass the message to an RSS processor 3. Process the RSS for that user: a. Read in the current RSS feed for that user. i. If no feed exists, create a new one for that user. ii. If a feed exists, remove messages (stored in items) that are 10 old or older. b. Append the message to the end of the RSS feed using the following mapping: i. From: = From: ii. Title: = Subject: iii. Item: = Body c. Store the completed RSS in a directory/file combo named after the database recipient. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
