A third party was engaged to deliver the WebSite to CMS migration project in the attached brief. This has now been completed and we are looking for a partner to correct some outstanding technical defects so that the site can go live and continue to develop the web site into the future with enhancements and new features. The work requirements to bid on are Phase 1 only, are as follows: Phase 1 - fix defects and go-live * There is a known issue with IE9 which prevents product page options displaying correctly * The gallery mechanism in use distorts the aspect ratio of product image thumbnails and this needs to be fixed Here are the potential details of future phases should Phase 1 be successful: Phase 2 * Fix up to 50 other minor defects in a defect tracking sheet * Enhance web site with the following features: - Customer Forum - eCommerce payment integration - Enhanced product selection and configuration widgets - Add Blog page - Add customer account creation and management - Add product basket and configuration save mechanism - Enhance back end database integration with products and pricing - Add customer personal review mechanism to site Ongoing * We expect the outsourcer to recommend enhancements and improvements to the look and feel, and functionality of the web site - there will be an on-going requirement for work to be done to implement these Of utmost importance for any party we will engage are the following: * Quality - the outsource partner must have their own stringent quality standards and processes, it's expected that basic testing will at least have been performed. Code quality should be high and correction of defects should not result in additional defects being generated * Communications - at all times we must be honestly and quickly informed of progress, obstacles and technical difficulties * Timeliness - committed dates for delivery must be kept * Project Management - we do not expect to have to micro manage projects and expect an outsourcer to use their own project management It is essential that any applicant be a capable organisation with skills in: * Web Development - HTML, XML, Javascript, XSLT, DHTML, DOM, HTTP, FTP * Image Manipulation – Photoshop, Wordpress and Website widgets for graphic representation (gallerys, thumbnails, lightbox etc) * Database - MySQL, SQL script, Entity design * Content Authorship – good standard of English, experience in good structuring of content management systems * Operating Systems – Linux admin knowledge is a must together with integration of email smtp, ftp, php and the installation and configuration of Wordpress and MySql
