Our sells fashionable clothes in their OS Commerce-based web shop. Since the current platform has met its limitations they want to convert to Magento. The design will remain the same and Tauros Media will take care the W3C valid XHTML/CSS. In our briefing the tasks that we want to outsource will be described carefully. ## Deliverables BRIEFING FASHION WEB SHOP| DATE 9TH OF JULY | V 1.1 OS COMMERCE ??" MAGENTO CONVERSION 1. Introduction One of our sells fashionable clothes in their OS Commerce-based web shop. Since the current platform has met its limitations they want to convert to Magento. Especially because of its scalability and SEO friendliness. The design will remain the same and Tauros Media will take care the W3C valid XHTML/CSS. In this briefing the tasks that we want to outsource will be described carefully. 2. Functionalities A) Add to wish list It should be possible to add products to wish list module. This is included in Magento basic setup. B) Banner The banner positions on the home and sub pages should be managed in a user-friendly manner in CMS. Supported formats should be .jpg. , .png, .gif, Flash. It should be possible to add multiple banners per position. I.e. show 3 banners on leader board position of homepage or two banners on the medium rectangle position of the category page. This feature plus managing the run time of the banners (i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20 seconds or more) should be managed in a user friendly way. Also the click results must be shown. Quote option 1 (basic): Currently client can publish banners on various positions. The width is set on 130 pix and size of height can be adjusted. The quantity per position and length cannot be managed. In their future Magento web shop client wants to support .SWF, .GIF, .JPG and .PNG. Quote option 2 (extended): All features as in option 1. Plus ability to change length, amount of banners per position C) Blog Wordpress must be integrated in Magento so that it’s feature can be used in a Woredpress backend like editor D) Customer information This will be a page where customers can find information about the payment services. This is a static page which must be managed under ‘CMS’ in back-end. XHTML/CSS of this page will be done by Tauros Media E) Data migration and configuration All data must be migrated. This includes the SALE products. This is the data that must be transferred: ? Orders (lookup) ? 3559 Client accounts (including username + password) Image catalog / all product images ? 660 Product Catalog (text NL + S) + inventories by product / size (do not know if that can be easily removed, but we have to discuss here). ? Editorial pages (but this can also via copy / paste) ? 7980 Members Newsletter (the list has been transferred to Mail Chimp, but I copy new bidders still manually via the database to Mail Chimp. The data should not be configured according to bundles products method but to configurable product method. For instance, let’s say a certain bikini is available in 4 sizes and 3 colours. In this case the system sees it as 1 product (Bikini) while the attributes are size and colour. Furthermore, all prices should be shown on Front-end including 19 % tax. Please note that order confirmation email content as well as other content templates must be migrated as well. In terms of product pricing Also take account of the fact that OS commerce has 4 digits behind the comma and Magento two. It should have two digits behind the comma. D) Enhanced product grid This extension must be implemented as well: [login to view URL] F) Mail chimp The mail chimp newsletter software plugin for Magento should be installed: [login to view URL] G) Multi language The web shop should remain both in English and Dutch (Nederlands) H) One Step Checkout module The One Step Checkout extension of Magestore should be implemented while the styling will be done by us: [login to view URL] I) Payment module The payment extension of Buckaroo should be implemented. It must be clear when a client has paid by credit card or iDeal. J) Packing list It must be possible to edit the header and footer text of invoices and packing lists. Here is an example of a packing list: The following extension covers clients needs: [login to view URL] K) Product sticker It should be possible to add a sticker with NEW or SALE on products. Design images will be delivered by us. [login to view URL] In Magento, we can set a product as NEW as well as SPECIAL (SALE), therefore, if a product is setup as NEW or SALE in admin cpanel, we will show sticker in frontend (product page and product listing page). L) SEO It is very important that client’s ecommerce platform will achieve a high ranking in the search engines for both languages. Therefore please make sure every page can be optimized for Google. Meta description, title alias and keyword tags can be edited in CMS for both languages. Furthermore every link must have clean URLS. I.e. [login to view URL] instead of [login to view URL] M) Speed Optimization Magento is relatively slow. Please kindly explain which actions you will take to optimize the speed. N) Tags Little Soho must be able to add tags in CMS which will be shown in front-end such as cloud tags. This is a standard feature of Magento O) Tell a friend It should be possible to notify with friends about a product on product page with this standard Magento feature P) Thumbnail The order overview should contain a thumbnail of the ordered products but this thumbnail should not be shown in the invoice and packing list. Q) Video player It should be possible to show product video’s on the product page . The video player should have the same functionalities as on [login to view URL] 3. Other information Communication Tauros Media requires daily updates from development party. During the development Guido Lassally will be the contact person of both client and development party. As mentioned design and XHTML/CSS can be excluded. Validation and browser compatibility The website of client should be XHTML 1.0 valid and browser compatible with Chroma, Opera, Safari and IE 6,7.8. Tauros Media will take care of this.
