We operate a website business [login to view URL] (RSC). We would like to develop our own in-house software program for Homestay's i.e. our rugby supporters club members can go and stay at another like minded rugby supporters place (Homestay), or our members could decide to be Homestay hosts.
Whichever way, we would eventually want our members to be able to travel on tour, or vacation and be able to stay with another rugby follower.
We also want to allow other Homestay persons to be able to offer up their accommodation to our RSC members, and for other non RSC members who are looking for Homestay accommodation to be able to stay with an RSC Homestay host.
The main focus is RSC Homestay, we also want to emphasis to the RSC Homestay hosts that although they should set a fair price for their accommodation on offer, they should also appreciate the opportunity of meeting and welcoming a rugby supporter into their home from another country.
You can research several sites that have similar layouts, however none have solely focused on a sport as we have decided to do with rugby.
Homestay Hosts sign up as a member of [login to view URL] then complete an application form, stating all their own family and personal details, then state what accommodation they are offering i.e., 1, 2, or 3 bedrooms, ensuite, kitchenette, wardrobe, term of accommodation, local transport, local attractions, cost per night, and include a host family photo, and a photo of the accommodation.
We at RSC will charge a 12% commission.
Persons looking to find RSC Homestay accommodation will also have to be paid up members of our club.
These members will be able to view all RSC Homestay hosts accommodation via our website, and be able to contact the host direct via our [login to view URL] will also state personal details with photo, and describe their needs, time of travel, how many nights, available budget, allergies, pets, When a confirmed booking is made via our website then the person who made the booking would then pay RSC 15% of their total accommodation costs direct to us, they would then pay the balance direct to the host.
All payments shall be via Paypal ,and, or by any other fully recognised payments processor.
A fully automated robust booking service is imperative for the host and the traveler.
We would want all of this program to run on our website which is Joomla based. Security is imperative. We would also appreciate all content being written and loaded on to the site, well as much as is practical.
