When a USB Flash Drive is plugged into an available USB 2.0 slot, new hardware is found (Win XP). You will note in the sys tray that there is an icon to "safely remove hardware". Many programs that menu a USB drive have an identical feature to "eject" the USB drive. I need that code in VB6 in a subroutine with the appropritae API declarations, etc. I am a VB6 programmer and need this for a project.
In essence I want the API calls and code needed to safely remove and eject a flash drive without using the icon in the systray. It will accomplish the same thing. I know this can be done, as all U3 drives and Ceedo drives have this feature. The platform is XP and does not need to be backward compatible.
