hi folks, this project has come about following a change in requirements to a project i posted earlier this month. I have a series of template based static html pages at [login to view URL] (only a holding page there currently, but i do have mysql hosting) its not optimised and quite slow currently but this is only to show the sample layout the project needs to work to, my requirement is as follows - 1. create the database/tables and web pages that the site will use. this is to perform the following tasks - control the display of estate agents banner adverts (as shown by the four logo images towards the top of the above page, each page visited will return differing estate agent banner adverts, these will be the agents logo set to a 150 pixel width), display how many clicks an agents banner ad has had and automatically remove that agents banner if they have had there maximum number of clicks ( to be decided later), allow estate agents who have paid for an account (payments handled offline) that will let them to post properties (maximum 25 properties per agent currently, the ability to sell differing packages with different numbers of properties may be needed) to add/edit/delete there properties (including adding data like property type, area, price, plot size, build size and a paragraph of descriptive text) and upload up to 3 pictures creating auto thumbnails in a uniform size, allow me to get reports on visits to agents properties advertised on the sites and the click throughs to the agents sites from the property details page. 2. in the blue box to the left hand side a scrolling selection of properties from the database just showing the main house picture (picture field1) the price and the location, perhaps latest properties added... 3. property search page, searchable by location, price, type of property. 4. search results page, showing one picture, property type, price and area. clicking on a property from within the search results will return further details as mentioned above on that property. a paragraph of text, number of bedrooms, estate agents reference number, plot size, build size, 2 further pics, contact information for the estate agent and an email address to request further info - this should also be logged so we can judge how succesful the site is being matching purchasers to agents. 5. login screens for both admin (me) and the estate agents. main admin tasks for my side are to be creating estate agent users, setting there level of useage. level 1 being a banner ad which will appear for x clicks then stop, manual option to start and stop an agents banner in the meantime. level 2 being granting an estate agent a username and password for them to add there own properties and pictures up to 25. ability to restrict an agent from appearing instantly. get stats to check on estate agents popularity from both banners and properties. estate agents level 1 have a login ability which will allow them to change there logo (restricted to 150 pizel width), view how many times there banner has appeared, how many times clicked on. estate agents level 2 have login ability to add/edit/remove up to 25 properties. get stats to see number of visits to there properties (helps them with marketing) number of clicks to there banner (logo) compared to appearances. All estate agents logos to appear in the estate agent directory for the algarve, this to be a searchable list from the database, containing name, address, logo, telephone and email contacts. any further questions please ask, its nearly 1230am and im past my prime and starting to repeat myself.
