Share Drive

Share As: I need a program to Share a drive on the network: I have an iomagic 80GB external Drive (USB) working in WIN 2000 PRO. If I plug in a gigabank (4GB) USB stick, there is no problem. If I start the PC with the drive plugged in, the PC does not recognize the drive. I need an "Auto share" Program. Please note that I have been back and fourth with iomega many times on this issue. There is no problem with WIN XP, as it remembers the settings. When I start the PC with the drive plugged in, nothing happens, but If I click the "Remove Hardware" icon, there is a device listed. I must remove this device, unplug the drive, and plug it back in. After I do this, the drive is recognized by the PC, but is not shared on the network. I must right ckick the drive and select "Security and sharing", and go thru the share routine. Then my other PC can see this drive. If I plug it in the other PC(Win XP) it works. This will be an icon in the system tray. When double clicked, it will open a form. There will be a textbox and a command button on the form. The Drive to share will be in the text box. This setting will be a registry entry, editable from the form. The share rights will be All and users can change files on my PC. Can this be made a start up item in my start up group? ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
