Here is my original request below, however it can also be some way other than excel.? ? If someone has a better idea then please suggest it.
I need an excel spreadsheet programmed that downloads data from [login to view URL] for option data for various stock symbols.? It figures out the implied volatility for the at the money option and then figures out the volatility bands from the implied volatility.?
Once the implied volatility is found the calculation for the volatility bands is very simple.? There are currently excel add ins that already can calculate implied volatility given the option data.? ?
As far as? I see it, there are 2 ways to do it.? I like one way better but I am open to suggestions.
?
The first way is to use the data from [[login to view URL]][1].? They? provide the information on their basic account which is free.? I have included a screen shot of the info that I need.? Once i have the mean implied volatility, the calculation for the volatility bands is very simple.? What I need to happen is that my spreadsheed will gather the data for maybe 100 different symbols that i am watching and calculates the bands for each symbol.?
The way I would rather do it is to just grab the at the money options data from [[login to view URL]][2].? Then I have excel add in's that will calculate the implied volatility which is then used for the band calculations.? The excel add ins are from

What I would love to happen is to have a list of symobls that I want the data calculated on 1 tab.? Excel will then go out and download the datat using the excel add in and determine the at the money option and calculate the mean implied volatility.? Then it is a very simple calculation to get a volatility band.? Once the program is done running, it lists all the stock symbols on another tab with the volatility bands listed for each stock next to the symbol.
