We are looking for an expert PHP coder well versed in the ways of AJAX. The project is a web based reservation system. There has already been extensive work carried out on the project and thus anyone wanting to bid for this project must be aware they will be working on existing code. It must also be pointed out that we are an IT company ourselves and any work undertaken will be scrutinised heavily, so the utmost of standards must be met. There are 3 separate elements to this project, 1) front end website 2) backend reservation system associated settings 3) content management and associated settings 1) Front end website- 2) Reservation system- 3) Content management and associated settings: We already have a little bit of the code required to create the profile and settings pages. Although it is imperative that we find someone who can work on their own and get this system finished. A point of contact will be online whenever needed to monitor progress and answer queries about what they system needs to do. I must stress that the reason this project has been placed online is due to the fact that our company lost the resource that started the code and then the second coder was not capable of completing some of its intricacies. There will be a fair bit of initiative required by anyone undertaking this project and although this project document covers 90% of the work required an additional 10-15 % should be added on to any cost quote for unexpected changes. This project is also on a very tight deadline, so if someone was willing to work at lightning pace and guarantee a rapid completion date we would consider a quote at a higher price than if someone was to bid a lower cost but have a lengthy completion timeframe. We would also look to take on a successful candidate to rework this site for a similar application. This second project would start as soon as the first has finished. Please only bid on the first project!

There are 3 separate elements to this project,
1) front end website
2) backend reservation system associated settings
3) content management and associated settings
1) Front end website- the design for the website has already been completed in photo shop. The front end must integrate with a payment system, which at this stage is thought to be Paypal. There will need to be 3-4 flash elements, but these are to be kept quite simple. [login to view URL] text and moving images. The website will incorporate a newsletter function, an online reservation section where the customer can search for available rooms and pay a deposit online. There will be other sections such as FAQ and contact information etc. These pages will be updateable from the back end content management system.
2) Reservation system- The code for this has been attempted by one of our programmers who had to drop the project for personal reasons. It is half complete, but needs extensive aesthetic changes and some really good AJAX to make it more user friendly. The logic for booking rooms is up, and all the fields for checking a customer in and out are in place. However we still need to complete the following pages:
• Customer room re allocation
• Room overview, outlook style with month and week.
• Room block out for dates where the room is unavailable
• Small changes to check in and check out layout
• Reports: end of day report for monies taken, Commission report paid to agent, total outstanding money over a time period.
• Search customer reservations list by dates, customer name, room number Over and above the creation of these pages the need may arise to make other alterations to the code where these pages affect the existing code.
3) Content management and associated settings:
This backend panel must allow the user to update all the text and images on the website.
Along with this a newsletter edit screen and a list of email addresses with the ability to select all or only certain names must be created. It must also be noted that there must be an automatic unsubscribe feature built in to the newsletter.
You will need to create a users section where users can edit their profile, ie password level of access. You will need to be able to assign 2 different levels of access. System settings: From here things like the amount of deposit to take from a customer, VAT rate and other global settings will be altered.
